A beauty out of the past is this antique Victorian gold filled mourning brooch. The oval gold brooch is decorated with black enamel in the Taille Depergne tradition of Victorian mourning jewelry. The brooch has a modern rolling pin clasp which replaced the original C clasp, and has a chatelaine hook that may be used s a pendant bail now. This is a beautifully detailed antique brooch for the collector or anyone in love with older beauties!
The brooch measures 1.25 x 1.
Good condition, with oxidation on the back, and some minor enamel loss on the front.
