Art Deco 89 Faux Jade Dangle Earrings

Item: 1461

This elegant and beautiful pair of vintage earrings will transport you to the apex of the Art Deco era! The look of exquisite green jade is created with plastic stones set off with faux black onyx and sparkling crystals. The dangle earrings are secured by clip backs and are signed Art Deco/89 with design # B289.

Art Deco/89 was a very short lived producer of Art Deco inspired/copied costume jewelry. Larry Joseph who trained with Hattie Carnegie, later owned her eponymous fashion house until it closed in 1976. He ventured out on his own to bring his creations inspired by the Art Deco greats to high end boutiques in the late 1980s. The jewelry is highly collectible for its exquisite design, fine craftsmanship, and very limited production due to the business lasting only a year. Many of the original pieces of jewelry designed by Cartier, Fouquet, Boucheron, Mauboussin and others may be seen in Sylvia Raulet's book, "Art Deco Jewelry."

The earrings measure 2 3/4" x 1/2".

Excellent condition.
