Carved Cinnabar Dress Clip, Antique Chinese Export

This antique genuine cinnabar dress clip, is hand carved with the Chinese character for blessings. The character symbolizes a human in a garden (earth), walking side by side God listening to divine words. Such a beautiful and picturesque way of describing blessings. The character is surrounded by deeply carved scroll work and floral blossoms, further depicting the ideals of God's gifts,and spiritual growth. The dress clip is silver, with ornate work framing the cinnabar. The back of the clip is stamped CHINA as is typical of the old antique pieces, often made for export. The dress clip may easily be worn as a brooch or as a necklace pendant, giving it further versatility.
The brooch measures 2" x 1 1/4".
Good condition. The cinnabar is in very nice condition, with a soft, luxurious feel. The silver is heavily oxidized. I have left it in its antique condition. The dress clip is tight with very good spring action.
