Beautiful and increasingly hard to find, this is a lovely pair of antique early Chinese export earrings. Set with hand carved red cinnabar lacquer featuring intricately detailed flowers. The cinnabar is framed within a blue enamel twist frame and backed with gilt washed filigree. The oval earrings are secured by clip backs, both comfortable and easy to wear. They are unmarked, but most likely 800 silver, as is typical of antique Chinese export jewelry, with a 24K wash. This is a pair of earrings that have stood the test of time.
