The Egyptian symbol of rebirth and regeneration, the scarab has been a treasured amulet since ancient times. In the 20th c. it was worn for good luck. This gorgeous Egyptian Revival vintage faience scarab necklace is strung with five glazed clay faience scarab beads, twisted wire wrapped. The clay beads are separated by turquoise clay baton links. The necklace is secured by an S hook clasp.
Measures 18" long. The scarab pendants measures 1 1/4" x 3/4" to 1 3/8" x 7/8".
