Etruscan Revival Black Onyx 22K Plated Oval Brooch

This chic and timeless brooch was inspired by a Greek necklace found in an ancient treasure trove in a burial chamber dating to 200 BC, unearthed in 1891 by Russian peasants near the town of Olbia, Ukraine. Walters Art Gallery commissioned this reproduction brooch and it is signed with their logo. The 22K plated brooch has Etruscan inspired granulation ornamentation and is set with an oval cut, genuine black onyx in a scalloped setting. Measurements: 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 Good condition with a small amount of oxidation to the plating.
