Scarab bracelets were all the rage in the 1940s - 1950s, being inspired by the discovery of the treasures of King Tut's tomb. The Egyptian symbol of rebirth and regeneration, the scarab has been a treasured amulet since ancient times. In the 20th c. it was worn for good luck. This beautiful bracelet is bezel set in gold filled with seven large natural gemstone cabochons carved with the scarab image on top and with hieroglyphs on the bottom. The scarabs are joined by double links. The semi precious hard stones include amethyst, onyx, rose quartz, sodalite, banded green onyx, and green agate. The scarabs measure approximately 17mm x 12.5mm x 7mm. Stamped 1/20 12K Admark.
The bracelet measures 7 1/4" x 3/4", and weighs 27.1 grams.
