Queen Alexandra popularized the collier de chien, or dog collar, during the Edwardian age. The choker style necklace saw a resurgence in popularity during the early sixties. This beautiful choker is set with a double row of square step cut, pale blue stones set in rhodium plated metal. A rhinestone extender chain allows for a perfect fit. A wonderful something old, something blue for the bride! The stone section of the choker is 9 long x 3/8. The extender chain adds another 6. The choker may be worn from 11.5 to 15. Very good condition. Circa early 1960s
