This outstanding swag brooch from Miriam Haskell, screams high style. The horizontal swag tapers from 3/4" to 1" and is 3" wide. It is intricately hand wire wrapped with rose montees that remain in beautiful condition sixty years later. The Russian gilt gold finish, a Miriam Haskell trademark, is in fine condition with slight wear and features filigree and gilt leaves for added detail. The free swinging tassels terminate in gold gilt balls with rose montee rondells and ridged cone caps. The tassel drops 2 3/4" from the bottom of the swag. This multidimensional brooch from the 1950s features superb design and craftsmanship as is typical of the finest Miriam Haskell pieces. A rare find.
