This striking jewelry set made for Metropolitan Museum of Art, is inspired by the Celtic knot art form. Known as mystic knots, or endless knots, Celtic knots are rich in symbolism of the timeless nature of the life force. The square brooch and earrings are plated in a rich antiqued gold, and feature an endless knot, where we see no beginning and no end. The earrings are secured by clip backs, and the brooch is fitted with a rolling pin clasp and pendant bail. Singed MMA PML 1993.
