This is a rare Japanese Toshikane figural pendant necklace. The vintage Arita porcelain blue owl pendant with white and gold highlights will capture you with its details and beauty typifying Toshikane quality. The owl, a mystical bird has long symbolized fertility, femininity, wisdom, and wealth. Suspended on a gold plated chain with spring ring clasp. The owl measures 1 11/16 (including bail) x 5/8. The chain measures 18. Excellent condition. Circa 1960s.
