Sarah Coventry "Light of the East" Brooch - Vintage 1968

This vintage Sarah Coventry brooch, from the Light of the East collection, is set with five decorative oval mosaic enamel cabochons in gold plate. Introduced in 1968, the brooch is featured on page 292 in Julia C. Carrolls book, Collecting Costume Jewelry 202. The brooch comes in the original Sarah Coventry leather box. The front of the box is embossed in gold with the Sarah Coventry coat of arms. The back of the box is embossed in gold with the Sarah Coventry logo Newark, New York State. The brooch measures 1 7/8 x 1.75. The box measures 4.5 x 4 3/8 x 1. The brooch is in very good condition. The box is in good condition, with normal wear. The pull tab is missing. Under the blue velvet insert is taped, Mrs. Lee Maison in cursive. Circa late 1960s
