The Egyptian symbol of rebirth and regeneration, the scarab has been a treasured amulet since ancient times. In the 20th c. it was worn for good luck. This vintage faience scarab necklace is strung with glazed clay beads, featuring a large faience scarab. The clay beads are separated by gold tone spacer beads. The necklace is endless without a clasp. Measures 28 long. The scarab pendant measures 1 3/16 x 7/8. Good condition. Circa 1970s
