Rhinestone Byrd proudly offers this exquisitely detailed, hand wrought studio art brooch. The large bird is fashioned in brass with silver overlay and perches on a flowering branch. Everything about this piece speaks to quality and an artistic eye. It is simply beautiful! With elements of Brutalism, this figural piece has one of a kind aesthetics. Despite an exhaustive search its story has yet to be revealed to me. Hand signed on the back, but I do not recognize the makers name. If you are looking for a piece of jewelry that is big in size and makes an artistic statement, this is your piece! Measures 3 7/8 x 2 1/2. Excellent condition. Circa 1970s.
