Vintage Miracle Scottish Celtic Glass "Agate" Pebble Brooch

This vintage Scottish pebble style brooch signed Miracle has beautiful Celtic design elements. Set with nine art glass stones simulating agates and semi precious stones including lapis lazuli and turquoise. The banded oval cabochon in the center is especially striking. The antiqued or old gold plating is further ornamented with Celtic knots. An ideal brooch for the upcoming fall season! Miracle is the trade name of the A. Hill & Co Ltd. of Birmingham England, established in 1946. Their jewelry is inspired and copied from actual archeological finds of ancient Celtic, Scottish, and Irish jewelry. Examining their glass stones you will see the variations, mottling, and matrix found in genuine stones, reflecting the attention to detail and high quality of their costume jewelry creations. Measures 1 13/16 x 1 9/16. Very good condition. Circa 1970s.
